We only process personal data that we need in order to provide our website and our tools, or to respond to your enquiry. Nothing more.
Below we explain what personal data is processed when you use our website and our tools.

Our website is provided via Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Firebase Hosting is used to deliver our website securely and quickly through a technical hosting and content delivery infrastructure.
When you visit our website, technically necessary information that your browser transmits automatically is processed. This can include in particular:
This data is processed in order to provide our website technically and to ensure its stability and security.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, reliable and efficient operation of our website.
Insofar as Google processes personal data on our behalf in the context of Firebase Hosting, this is done on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Firebase uses a technically globally distributed infrastructure. As a result, personal data may also be processed outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. For such data transfers, Google relies on the safeguards provided for under applicable data protection law.

elbly currently does not use cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes and does not use any corresponding analytics or advertising services such as Google Analytics or Google Ads.
We also do not currently carry out any tracking of our own or any audience measurement.
Insofar as technically necessary information is processed in connection with hosting and providing our website, this is done exclusively to provide the website securely and reliably.
We deliberately do without a contact form. If you would like to get in touch with us, you can email us directly.
The email button offered on the website simply opens your email programme. Clicking the button does not transmit any form data to elbly.
If you send us an email, we process your email address and the information you provide in the message in order to handle your enquiry and reply to you.
Insofar as your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In other cases, it is based on our legitimate interest in handling and responding to enquiries pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We store your message only for as long as is necessary to process it, or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply.
elbly develops and operates various digital tools. The same principle applies here: personal data is only processed insofar as this is genuinely necessary for the respective function.
The general provisions of this privacy notice also apply to our tools, unless something additional or different is stated for the respective tool.
elbly QR is currently still in development and is not yet publicly available.
Before release, we review the data processing that actually takes place and add the necessary product-specific information to this privacy notice.
elbly Cam is an application for processing and styling camera and video images on the user’s own device.
Camera images are, as a rule, processed locally on the respective device. Camera, video and image content is not transmitted to elbly for processing and is not stored centrally by elbly.
Features such as background blur, image and logo overlays, and text and display elements are processed locally on the device.
elbly does not have access to the camera, video or image content captured or processed via elbly Cam.
To use the camera features, elbly Cam needs access to the camera or video devices made available by the operating system. This access is limited to the features selected by the user and is subject to the permission mechanisms of the respective operating system.
Insofar as settings are saved within the application, this is, as a rule, done locally on the device. These settings are not transmitted to elbly unless this is expressly described for a specific online feature.
elbly Cam does not use any features for automatic facial recognition or for identifying individuals.
elbly does not use the application for analytics, advertising or marketing purposes.
Should elbly Cam include features in future that require additional processing of personal data – for example online accounts, synchronisation, cloud services, licence management, telemetry or error diagnostics – we will update this privacy notice accordingly before such features are activated.
When we release further tools, we will add the product-specific privacy information required for each of them to this section.
We try to limit external services and the associated data transfers to what is necessary to operate our offerings.
To provide this website, we use Firebase Hosting from Google. You can find more information in the section “Website and hosting”.
We do not currently use any other services for analytics, advertising or marketing purposes.
For our tools, we will inform you separately if external services or service providers are used to provide individual features.
Our website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS (SSL/TLS).
In addition, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and unauthorised alteration.
With elbly Cam, camera and image content is, as a rule, processed locally on the user’s own device. As a result, this content is not transmitted to elbly’s systems for processing.
Insofar as we process personal data about you, you have, subject to the statutory requirements, in particular the following rights:
